Touch Panel Integration Control Systems

Many of the equipment manufacturers provide control devices that work very well with the components they make . . . but what do you do when it’s necessary to control several components, made by different manufacturers? And how is it possible to automate this control process, for example, to have the push of a single button, make several actions all happen at the same time . . . or to make a series of control events occur in a timed sequence?

An example of this is in an A/V presentation system where the individual in charge presses a single "button" to dim the room lighting, drop down the screen from it’s ceiling position, drop down the video projector housing, and turn on the projector, plus select the correct input to the projector to show a PowerPoint presentation.

This is where integration control systems come into play.

The typical user interface is a touch panel showing custom screens with virtual "buttons" having clearly labeled identification. Multiple levels of screens or "pages" as they are often referred to, allow the user to control many different functions while keeping individual pages clear and concise. Some of the touch panel screens even support video signals so the images that are shown on the main presentation screen may also be directly viewed (or previewed) on the touch panel, eliminating the need for a separate monitor screen.

When your system requires this high level of integration and control, count on Berkshire Systems Group to utilize the latest technology and programming expertise to provide a user interface that is feature-rich while remaining simple to use, even by non-"techie" individuals.
