Communications Systems

There are many forms of communication. Our area of concentration is on electronic voice communication systems that generally provide two-way operation.

Communications systems specifically manufactured for K through 12th grade facilities can provide everything necessary for students, staff, and administrators to stay in touch and stay on schedule, throughout the busy school day. These systems may provide two-way intercom, zone paging and All-Call paging, class change bell signals, and also act as a master clock for synchronized secondary classroom clocks. Telephonic communications for teachers and for administrators is also possible through the school intercom system.

It goes without saying that it would be impossible for a business to survive without a telephone communication system, today, and Berkshire Systems Group is ready to advise, install, and maintain a system that will satisfy your particular business needs. But what about those requirements that fall outside the business telephone system? Sometimes an independent intercom system is just the right match for a door entry requirement. Add video and you now see who you are speaking to before allowing entry into your facility. An in-store intercom can be much more effective and efficient, especially when it is tied to overhead paging speakers. This type of intercom system can also be very effective in warehouse environments. Parking facilities also use intercom systems for their patrons’ safety, and these are often tied into other security systems supplied by Berkshire Systems Group’s Protection Division.

Prisons and correctional facilities present their own set of unique requirements. Devices must be robust to stand up to physical abuses, and systems must be able to keep going under less than ideal circumstances, 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. Communications systems for prisons and for correctional facilities may need to provide audio monitoring capability along with automatic alerts on unusual events. They may require a centralized hub design or a distributed approach; and even networked connectivity, for larger facilities.
